The current members of the group avoid the words theater, actor, acting. Rather they regard their work as an awareness of a person’s existence.

It was an adventure to take part in this show “Once” with them.
The members of DEREVO believe in the importance of :
the crawling of an infant; the beginning of a movement; the beginning of a sound; immobility; dreams; the equilibrium of a sleepwalker.  Derevo is a modern troupe that in it’s work combines pantomime, conterporary dance, butoh, russian avant-garde theatre, comedia dell’ arte, clown theatre, performance, physical theatre and happening.
